Thousands of patriotic citizens gathered to show their support of US troops and President George Bush in a Support Our Troops Rally this Saturday.

Held at the State Capital Building, the grass roots effort was organized by family members and concerned citizens like Tiara Enocencio-Zimmerman, wife of Marine Cpl Nathan Zimmerman who is currently deployed to the Middle East. "We're showing our troops, President George Bush and the nation that there is support in Hawaii backing the effort that has occurred," Mrs. Enocencio-Zimmerman said.

The peaceful demonstration featured pro-troops and pro-American signs, US flags, and colorful displays of red white and blue much like the popular 4th of July parades seen around Oahu.
